To win the jackpot you have to match 6 numbers from 1 to 49! Seven balls are drawn at random, the first 6 numbers form the winning selection and the 7th ball represents the bonus number. There are six ways to match and win in different categories and with only 2 balls and the bonus number you win a prize!

Prizes can be won with these combinations: 6/6, 5/6 + bonus number, 5/6, 4/6, 3/6 and 2/6 + bonus number. To win in the “bonus number” categories you must have 2 or 5 numbers that match the winning selection and also have the complementary number.

Claiming prizes

When we detect that you win a prize, we notify you.

Lottery Retailers can pay prizes up to $599. Wintrillions.com will redeem your ticket and we will either credit it to your subscription or send you your winnings. We will typically have your winnings within 2 or 3 days after the draw date.

Prizes over $599 must be claimed at Lotto 6/49 headquarters and require a lottery claim form. We will send you the forms and assist you in submitting your tickets to the Lotto 6/49. If you win the jackpot you must appear in person at the Lotto 6/49 headquarters. We will make arrangements to personally hand you the ticket before you go.

All winning tickets must be claimed within one year from the draw date printed on the ticket.
